Louisville Hairstyle Trends (with pictures)

We see a lot of different hairstyle trends in our Louisville salon. Here are a few of the latest hairstyles and haircuts that are really popular with our guests right now.

1.) The Bob

One cut that you will always see as it never goes out of style is the bob. There are so many varieties of bob cuts that it would be hard to list them all. To give you and example of a few that we see on a daily basis would be the shaggy bob, layered bob, inverted bob, and the lob bob. The great thing about bob cuts is that they are very low maintenance, completely versatile, and are great on many textures from curly, wavy, super thick, to thin and pen straight. Bob haircuts are also great if you want to try a bang and add more face framing.

2.) Curtain Bangs

Curtain bangs have become one of the hottest hairstyles that we see here at TRIM NuLu and probably get requested more than anything. These types of bangs can be cut right above the cheek to give the illusion of a more pronounced cheekbone and are also a good way to add a little flare to the face when your hair is in a ponytail. Curtain bangs are usually very low maintenance compared to a horseshoe bang or a straight across bang. They also go great with most hair textures like wavy, curly, or straight hair.

3.) Mullets

Mullets are making a huge comeback. Our stylists here at the salon love to cut mullets and it has been years since we’ve had the chance. The new version has way more texture and movement than there predecessors and is also more stylish and posh. There’s even a women’s version of the mullet called the “Wolf Cut.” The wolf cut has grown in popularity with the Gen Z’s and is currently a very hot item in the salon. A lot of ladies will and some gorgeous color and highlights to really make their style stand out.
